Incorporated as a water utility in 1897, Middlesex Water Company provides a full range of regulated and non-regulated water, wastewater utility and related services primarily in New Jersey and Delaware. Apps Associates was chosen by Middlesex Water Company (MWC) to implement, integrate, and upgrade Oracle EBS and CC&B. Additionally, Apps Associates provided managed services to the company. Apps Associates’ managed services played a crucial role in offering a comprehensive support solution that increased productivity and effective accountability for the utility.
MWC provides water and wastewater utility services in various states but faced challenges due to its growth through multiple acquisitions. The different divisions had their own procurement processes and inventory, which made it difficult for the outsourced system to support. Intercompany transactions were also difficult to manage, and management reporting processes needed improvement. MWC wanted a comprehensive managed services solution from a trusted partner that could manage upgrades.
Apps Associates’ was selected by MWC to evaluate its system requirements and support the Oracle EBS software. Apps played a crucial role as a partner to MWC in various areas of the deployed footprint, including assistance with EBS and CC&B upgrade products and training exercises. Following this, Apps Associates took over the responsibility of production support and Oracle managed services for the systems, including infrastructure support. For more than 7 years, they have provided ongoing support for system enhancements and training.
