Oracle Fusion Analytics Significantly Improves Data & Analytics Processes for Leading Media Production Company

Our customer is a $600 million leading media and entertainment company that empowers its customers through transformative technological innovation. It is a global leader in video infrastructure, advertising systems and workflow management solutions serving media networks, broadcast stations, digital media, communication service providers and enterprise markets.​

Company Overview

Our customer needed to automate KPIs, metrics, and reports as it was difficult and time-consuming. Furthermore, their process of collecting data and reporting from different data sources was manual and inefficient.  They wanted to create a robust and sustainable platform for their reporting and dashboards that would include an end-to-end solution to provide supplier-supported extracts, upgrades, and patching. In addition, they also wanted the ability to customize and modify their data sources, reports, and KPI’s to align with key business initiatives.

Customer Objectives and Challenges

Apps Associates implemented and deployed Oracle Fusion ERP and SCM Analytics and integrated Oracle EPM with Fusion Analytics within six months. Apps and the customer team worked together to transform their reporting processes by moving from large flat file extracts to a dashboard / KPI interface. This allowed users to get core data for key queries and to drill down to detailed data elements. ​We Integrated FP&A reporting allowing for federated access to ‘approved’ datasets.​

 

This provided a single source of truth for all data requests and eliminated query-only functions from Cloud Applications. It also allowed our customer to move to a scalable cloud infrastructure from the existing on-premise reporting platform.

Customer Solution

By working with Apps Associates and selecting Oracle products, our customer was able to eliminate the need to maintain and monitor the manual extraction processes from Oracle Cloud Applications. They now have an automated, integrated Operating Expense and Income Statement reporting from Oracle EPM. This saved more than $300K in Cloud Applications license cost by moving query-only users to Fusion Analytics and also saved maintenance costs needed to monitor and maintain the Analytics environment.
