Phase One Assessment – WACS/EBS Solution Fit
- Planning Impact: Key Global Design decisions not assessed until after project was well underway. Project timeline and scope altered greatly as a result.
- Project Methodology: Varying methodologies of multiple vendors needed to be aligned in a single timeline and approach
- Integration/Extension: End-to-end processes need to be determined early on to properly scope configuration and development work.
- Conversion/Migration: Conversion can impact business process (and vice versa) greatly. Proof of concept is key to defining the proper conversion since WAMv1 to WAMv2 is NOT one-to-one.
- Roadmapping: Have the long-term goals in mind! Future projects (i.e. payroll vendor changes, ERP migrations, Cloud Infrastructure/Integration migration) need to be mapped early on to understand the need for temporary bridges
