Meet Oracle Modern Business Experience Speaker Jaret Balter
A little bit about me
So, I am presenting a session at Oracle Modern Business Experience but before I get into that, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, in Amherst, Massachusetts. I decided the legal career path wasn’t for me so I switched and began my career in sales operations with supply chain planning. I was responsible for new product information for a software company. I worked with internal teams to forecast and plan our contract manufacturing organization and third party logistics to coordinate manufacturing, engineer change orders, and shipments.
Then, the proverbial “Oracle bug” bit me. I was an Oracle client implementing Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.9 back in 2003. (Yup.) I became intrigued by the technology and the opportunity to work with clients. I became excited about the chance to innovate with new technologies and to be able to interact with new companies and new people. It was at that time I made the transition from the business side to the IT side and entered the consulting practice. My spare time is spent with my wife and two kids. I am very active in the local community, involved in youth sports, and I am currently the President of the local Little League organization.
All this led me to Apps Associates and I’ve been here for almost 3 years where I am the Director of Applications Delivery. My responsibilities lie with our Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) practices (teams I am proud to lead) as well as the success of our customers and projects.
A little bit about my session
My session is called “Supply Chain in the Cloud” and I chose it because I think there is some trepidation about moving to the cloud, especially in the SCM area. Oracle’s cloud solutions are purpose built best in-breed. I am going to be sharing “What is possible” and talk about some of our success stories as our clients embark upon their journey to the cloud.
I have many SCM success stories involving our clients in the cloud. I will be speaking about our customers use of products such as Order Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning and Inventory and how they have leveraged Oracle’s Modern Best Practice design in the cloud to standardize business processes and to leverage its integrated capabilities.
I hope to see you at the event and at my session. You check out our services right here.
